The Patton House Gift and Thrift Shop

The Patton House, located in the heart of downtown Springville, (Directly across the street from the Fire Station and between the Springville Inn and the Hamburger Stand) is owned and operated (All by “Club” volunteers.) by the Springville Community Club (SCC) and serves as its headquarters and is maintained as a gift and thrift shop with profits being returned to the community in the form of donations and scholarships. The Patton House is a source of pride for the entire town with its memory garden in honor of “SCC” members who have passed on, a rose garden, beautiful landscaping, water features, tables, benches and gazebo. The gardens are open to visitors for relaxing and enjoying the scenic atmosphere of Springville.

Over the years, as “SCC” has grown in numbers, the members have accepted new challenges and set goals for our changing community, and worked tirelessly for the betterment of Springville. Whatever is accomplished is done with great pride and enthusiasm.

You might find it interesting to know that merchandize donated to the “Thrift Shop” is utilized to its maximum, items unable to use, store or too large for the thrift shop’s limited space are given to many benefactors, such as: Teddie’s Day Care in Springville, Porterville Pregnancy Center, Porterville Women’s Crisis Center, Porterville Shelter Workshop (AKA – Value Village Thrift Store) and other “Not-for-profit” entities within our community and its surrounding areas. Our community can take great pride in knowing that the Patton House has a positive impact on other individual lives, right here in our community and even reaches beyond.

Here are just a few examples how shopping and supporting with your donations the Patton House “gives back to the community:” Scholarships to local high schools, assisting with field trips for students at Springville Union School and special school projects, SCICON, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, and in previous years; donations to Springville Veteran’s Memorial Building and to the preservation of Springville Park, specialized equipment for the Springville Volunteer Fire Company, computers for Springville Union School, along with helping Springville residents who suffered loss due to: Fire, flood and extremely unusual circumstances, providing them with what necessities they might need and is available from within the “thrift shop.”

Within the Patton House “gift” shop, you’ll find: Nuts, candy, jams/jellies, premium stuffed olives, honey, various snack items, knick knacks, pictures/plaques, greeting cards, jewelry, souvenir hats and t-shirts, just to name a few and various items “hand-crafted” by local residents.

The Patton House “thrift” shop has limited space, but every inch is utilized to its maximum, filling it with: Clothing for men, women, and children, shoes/purses and accessories, linens, bedding, books, (For every age.) videos/CD’s/tapes, games, jewelry, house wares, small appliances, novelty items and so much more.

Items are stocked/replenished almost on a daily basis so it pays to visit often.
